Integrated Power Services acquires Industrial Apparatus Services
Greenville, SC - May 1, 2013 - Integrated Power Services (IPS), a national leader in the service and repair of electric motors, generators and mechanical power transmission components, acquired Industrial Apparatus Services (IAS) on December 20, 2012. IAS is an independent power services company specializing in the service and repair of electric motors and generators for petrochemical plants. The deal marks the fourth acquisition for IPS since its formation in 2007, following the company's purchases of Electro-Mec Inc., Monarch Electric Service Co. and TRICO TCWIND Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, IPS now has seventeen regional service centers across the country, offering coast-to-coast coverage and 24/7 reliability to over 4,000 customers across a wide range of capital-intensive industries. IAS will operate as the IPS Beaumont Regional Service Center, enhancing the company's full-service capabilities, particularly in the regional petrochemical market. IAS has established relationships with leading petrochemical companies in Texas and Louisiana, offering repair services, field services, product resale and comprehensive contracts for electric motor storage and maintenance.
